Coalescer Separator Filter JMP 2540-02 ABR

The coalescence filter element is used as the first stage of the filter/separator vessel to act as a filter media aggregate. Separator elements are used as the second stage of the filter/separator vessel, and their only function is to repel coalescing water droplets produced by the first stage filter element while allowing hydrocarbon fluids to pass through. Water droplets sink into the filter/separator pool and are not carried downstream. The clean liquid is then separated.
