Filtration Media and Ratings
We offer elements in various filtration ratings to match your ISO 4406 cleanliness targets.
Type ON / BH4HC: Optimized for high dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop. Available in 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 micron absolute ratings.
Type W/HC: Wire mesh media for coarse filtration or high-viscosity fluids (25, 50, 100, 200 micron).
Structure: Multilayer construction supports the media against differential pressures, preventing collapse even when the element is fully loaded.
Clogging Indicators: Predictive Maintenance
Waiting for a system to fail before changing a filter is costly. Ayater provides replacement Clogging Indicators that alert operators exactly when the element requires changing.
Indicator Types:
Differential Pressure Indicators (Type VD):
These measure the pressure difference between the inlet (dirty side) and outlet (clean side). When the Delta P reaches 5 bar (standard setting), the indicator signals. These are rated for operating pressures up to 420 bar.
Type A: With screw plug in indicator port.
Type B: Visual (Pop-up).
Type C: Electrical switch.
Type D: Visual and Electrical combination.
Visual Indicators (Type VM):
Suitable for pressures up to 210 bar. Often used in mobile applications or lower pressure circuits. (Note: Requires adapter SO348 for high-pressure housings).

Electrical vs. Visual Monitoring
For automated plants, Ayater recommends upgrading from visual indicators (Type B) to electrical indicators (Type C). This allows the hydraulic system to trigger an alarm or an automatic shutdown via the PLC if the filter is clogged, preventing bypass operation where contaminated fluid could damage servo valves.
