1. Turn off the device and reduce the pressure.
2. Unscrew the filter housing and collect the outgoing hydraulic oil into a container (the collected hydraulic oil cannot be poured back into the tank)
3. Remove the hydraulic filter element and check the surface of the filter element for visible impurities (visible particles can be a warning sign that a part of the device is about to fail).
4. Check whether the cap and bypass valve are damaged. Damaged parts must be replaced.
5. Check whether the O-ring seal and support ring of the filter cap are damaged. Replace if needed.
