What is a coalescer separator skid?

The coalescer separator skid consists of a series of coalescers, separators and particulate filters, which are designed to achieve high quality of diesel fuel cleanliness. These systems are self-contained, skid-mounted and provide a control panel for fully automated operation. These systems can be used both as dedicated stationary systems or as portable systems for plant-wide use.

What is the working principle of coalescer separator skid?

It is mainly composed of coalescing separation system and particle filtration system, a group of coalescing filter elements and separation filter elements are set inside the coalescing separation system, the coalescing filter element adopts a unique polar molecular structure, and the free water and emulsified water in the oil are coalesced into larger water droplets after passing through the filter element, and then sink to the water storage by the action of gravity. The separating filter is made of a special hydrophobic material, and as the oil passes through the filter, the water droplets are trapped on the outer surface of the filter and coalesce until gravity settles into the water storage tank. The separated water is stored in the water storage tank, and when the interface height reaches the set value, the valve is opened to discharge the water, and the valve is closed to stop draining. Through the particle filtration system, it can effectively filter impurities and pollutants, stably control the cleanliness of diesel fuel in the required state of the system, and ensure the purity of the oil. This series of filtration processes results in efficient cleaning of diesel fuel.
