Teflon filter bags, commonly known as PTFE filter bags, is a filtration element with PTFE material as its core. Because of its excellent water repellency, oil repellency and air permeability, it is often used in high temperature flue gas treatment (e.g. glass kiln, smelting) process.

Engineered to operate flawlessly at 240°C (464°F) with zero degradation-even during thermal spikes up to 260°C (500°F). Ideal for cement kiln exhaust (e.g., capturing PM2.5 dust at 240°C) or incinerator flue gas cleanup, where lesser bags melt or shrink.

Chemical resistance, field-proven

The bags are resistant to more than 98% of industrial acids, bases and solvents, including HF acid, chlorine and methyl ethyl ketone. Case Study: After switching to our PTFE (Teflon) filter bags for H₂SO₄ mist filtration in a titanium dioxide plant, the number of bag changes was reduced from 6 per year to every 18 months.

Selection and use of recommendations

Selection basis

Working temperature: more than 180 ° C need to choose pure PTFE or glass fiber substrate coating type.
Media properties: oil, viscous dust preferred hydrophobic membrane filter bag.

 

Installation and maintenance

Avoid mechanical damage (such as metal frame burrs), and ensure the sealing of the bag mouth during installation.
Suggestions for ash cleaning: use pulse blowback, pressure ≤ 0.5MPa, to avoid high-frequency ash cleaning damage to the membrane layer.
