By polishing the amine solution before it enters the regenerator, it helps maintain solvent quality, prolong equipment life, and ensure consistent removal of acid gases.
1. Adsorption Mechanics
The activated carbon in our filter relies on a network of micro- and mesopores that create an immense internal surface area. As lean amine flows through the bed, contaminants such as H₂S, CO₂ degradation by-products (carbonyls), and trace organics diffuse into these pores and adhere to the carbon surface via van der Waals forces and pore‐fill interactions.
