Resin bonded sediment cartridges deliver graded-density depth filtration with high dirt-holding capacity and structural stability for paints, oils, coatings and viscous process liquids. Custom micron ratings and end-cap options.

Resin bonded sediment cartridges are manufactured by impregnating long staple fibers (commonly acrylic and/or polyester) with a thermoset resin and curing them into a single, rigid, graded-density element. The result is a fixed-pore depth filter that captures solids throughout the media thickness, resists compression and media migration, and runs reliably in heavy-duty process conditions.
| Media Composition | Acrylic, polyester, or blended long-staple fibers bonded with phenolic, melamine, or other thermoset resins. |
| Micron Ratings (available) | Commonly from 1–200 µm (popular commercial ratings: 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 125, 150, 200 µm). |
| Standard Lengths | 9.75" / 10" / 20" / 30" / 40" (custom lengths offered). |
| Outer Diameter | ~2.56" typical for drop-in cartridges; alternate diameters available for special housings. |
| Maximum Operating Temperature | 121°C (250°F) |
| Maximum Differential Pressure | 4.8 bar (70 psi) |
| End Caps | Polypropylene (dual O-ring or gasket sealing options) |
| Seal Options | DOE/SOE, 222/226 o-ring, flat/extended cores; gaskets in NBR, EPDM, FKM, PTFE-encapsulated available. |
✅ True depth capture with graded porosity - outer layers remove coarse debris while inner zones trap fine particulates, extending service life versus surface-only media.
✅ Rigid, non-collapsing structure - cured thermoset resin prevents pore collapse under differential pressure and in high-viscosity fluids.
✅ Low fiber migration and stable effluent - bonded construction minimizes media shedding seen with loose wound or short-fiber elements.
✅ Wide chemical and thermal tolerance (configurable) - choice of resin and fiber blends allows selection for solvent exposure or elevated operating temps.
✅ Simple disposal / no internal support core - many designs are coreless, simplifying housings and end-of-life handling.

Q: How do these compare to string-wound sediment filters?
A: Our resin bonded sediment cartridges offer superior dirt-holding capacity and more consistent filtration throughout the media depth. Unlike string-wound filters, there's no risk of media unraveling or channeling.
Q: Can I use these with variable flow rates?
A: Yes. The graded density design maintains filtration efficiency across flow rates from 0.5 to 8.0 GPM without compromising particulate retention.
Q: Are chemical compatibility sheets available?
A: Yes. We provide detailed chemical compatibility guides for over 200 common water treatment chemicals and compounds.
