The folded water filter element is a membrane folded filter element with the membrane as the core. After the filter membrane material is determined, the polypropylene non-woven fabric (net) is used as the guide layer and support folded, inserted into the central tube, and installed in the shell. All parts adopt adhesive-free hot melt welding technology to form a complete integrated filter element without chemical pollutants.
The folded structure of the folded water filter element makes its filtration area larger, the initial pressure difference is low, and the flow rate is fast. The single pure polypropylene material has a wide range of chemical compatibility. In addition, the combination of pre-filtration and final filtration has a large dirt holding capacity.
The key structure of the folded filter element, the filter membrane, usually has the following materials,
1. PP membrane. It's made of polypropylene ultrafine fibers hot-melt bonded together. It is a membrane material for deep filtration. The multi-layer pleated polypropylene structure can achieve graded filtration and high dirt holding capacity. It has stable physical and chemical properties and good pressure resistance, and is often used for liquid clarification filtration.
2. PTFE membrane.It's a polymer compound formed by the polymerization of tetrafluoroethylene, with good flower stability, corrosion resistance, and high and low temperature resistance. It is usually used for acid and alkali solution filtration and steam filtration.
3. PES membrane is permanently hydrophilic, and its membrane pores account for more than 80% of the membrane volume. The asymmetric structure ensures high flow rate and super strong dirt holding capacity, can be backwashed and sterilized at high temperature, and has good pressure resistance. It is suitable for pharmaceutical, industrial and cosmetic industries.
4. Nylon membrane.Its medium is a hydrophilic nylon microporous filter membrane, which is made of a combination of nylon and polypropylene support materials. No adhesive, no fiber shedding. Suitable for filtration of organic solutions, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry.
