The folded filter element is a commonly used filter element in water treatment pre-filtration. It adopts the principle of external pressure filtration. Impurities are trapped on the surface of the filter element, and the filtered liquid flows out of the filter element. When a certain amount is trapped, impurities accumulate, the flow rate becomes smaller, and the filter element is slowly blocked, and then it needs to be replaced. The following are the main factors affecting the life of the folded filter element

 

• Water source conditions. If there are a lot of impurities in the water and the particle diameter is relatively large, the filter element will be blocked quickly. Filtering river water and muddy water has a shorter service life than filtering municipal tap water. If the water quality is poor, it is recommended to precipitate and filter coarsely before using high-precision filtration.
• Frequency of use. Under the same circumstances, using it for 8 hours a day will definitely be longer than using it for 24 hours a day. High frequency of use will speed up this process and shorten the filter life.
• Product quality, this is related to the products made by each manufacturer. If the manufacturer uses inferior raw materials, the service life and effect will definitely be poor. When purchasing pleated filter elements, be sure to choose formal channels.
